Welcome Group Members!

Welcome to our new blog! This will be a place where you can catch up on the latest group info, communicate and share with other members, and we can show others what our group is up to. I hope that everyone will make good use of it. Getting the newsletter together is a great deal of work and I have not been diligent in getting it out in a timely fashion so I will be replacing the newsletter with this blog.

I'm pretty new to blogging so don't worry if you don't quite understand it all. Join the group. The first thing you should do is become a follower by clicking on that over on the left. Why you are over there take a minute to answer the pole question. Then go back to this post and double click the header and let us know what you have been working on. Include a photo if you can. If you have a blog or web page send it to me and I will add it to the list.

OK, I'll start. Since the Nicole Caulfield workshop I have been really enjoying working on the pastel board. I have completed three 11" x 14" pieces and now I am working on a 16" x 20" peacock and a 18" x 24" beach scene. The beach scene is the first I've done on the white board. The others were on the sand colored board. The only problem I've had is that the dark colors seem to darken to a black when I varnish. I am going to try leaving them a little lighter this time. I will post photos asap.

If you have not already, go to the left and become a follower. Just click follow. You may need to create a google account. I'd like to see everyone in the group listed as a follower and visiting the blog often to keep up on the news.
